Fayette County (Adult / MI) Day Programs
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
A highly structured short-term therapeutic program for adults with acute psychiatric problems. This program is designed to help prevent inpatient hospitalization or to reduce the length of hospitalization by providing an intense level of care and services. Individuals enrolled in PHP attend five days per week and receive individual therapy, group therapy, educational groups, activity therapy, and psychiatric medication evaluation and management. The Fayette County Partial Hospitalization Program is located at our Springhill facility. Referrals to this program may be made by calling our outpatient office at (205) 932-3216.
Intensive Day Treatment (IDT)
This program is the mid-level intensity for adult day program. IDT is designed to further promote mental stability at a lower level of care than what is provided in PHP. IDT operates five days a week, with a minimum of three days a week required for enrollment. Individuals receive weekly group or individual therapy, educational classes, and activity/recreational therapy. Fayette County IDT is located at our Adult Outpatient Office and currently serves individuals in Fayette and Lamar Counties. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (RDP)
This program is the least intensive level of adult day programs. The Psychiatric Rehab Program utilizes educational classes and supervised work programs to help consumers acquire employment skills, enhance basic living skills, and improve socialization skills. This program operates five days per week, with participants attending a minimum of one day per week. Fayette RDP is located at our Cornerstone Building and currently serves individuals in Fayette and Lamar Counties. Referrals may be made by calling (205) 932-3216.
