Mental Illness - Mental Retardation - Family Services - Substance Abuse

Since 1969 the Northwest Alabama Center has grown in its ability to provide services to the mentally ill, mentally retarded, and persons suffering from chemical dependency in the 5 county area that includes Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Walker and Winston Counties. In the 5 county area, no one has to be more than 20 minutes away from services. The Center prides itself in the quality of its services and the well-developed continuum of care allows us to provide services to many different people without them having to leave the service area. There is a heavy emphasis on services to children, families, and geriatric age groups as well as the seriously mentally ill, mentally retarded and those suffering from chemical dependency.
