Working Together To Make A Difference

The Northwest Alabama Mental Health Center Foundation is dedicated to working with providers, donors, and many clients to make a difference through the Foundation where many different people and organizations can contribute to providing extra, needed services that are not provided through other funding resources. These needs are as follows:

  • A fund to protect capital assets by making available funds to make repairs and provide needed maintenance on some 40+ sites.
  • A fund to provide needed training for qualified staff to stay current with skill development and cutting edge technology that is changing continually in terms of providing services in a rural area.
  • Funds to provide the latest technology, especially telecommunications in the largest service area in the State of Alabama. Telecommunications equipment would make it possible for the Center to provide more timely services to clients and bring the skills of psychiatrists and other specialists to the client instead of the client having to go where the psychiatrists are. Other needs are related to maintaining current computers and other technology and to upgrade it when needed.
  • Any donor could designate other areas for funds to be used.
